Gabriele De Carlo began studying the piano at the age of 6.
From a young age, he had the opportunity to interact with many great personalities in the music world, such as P. Bruni, C. Burato, P. Camicia, R. Cappello, E. Degli Esposti Elisi, D. Franceschetti, F. Gamba, P. Gililov, A. Harasiewicz, B. Lupo, S. Perticaroli, R. Plano, R. Risaliti, F. Thiollier, L. Trabucco, and many others.
He graduated with top marks and honors from the Conservatorio di musica "Tito Schipa" in Lecce and furthered his studies at the Accademia Musicale delle Marche "B. Gigli" under the guidance of Maestros Lorenzo Di Bella and Gianluca Luisi.
Continuing his musical development, he studied with Maestros Marisa Somma and Enrico Pace, spending four years refining his skills at the Accademia di musica di Pinerolo, where he obtained a Master's diploma.
He holds a degree in piano pedagogy from the Conservatorio di Monopoli "N. Rota".
Gabriele has participated in numerous Italian and international piano competitions, achieving significant recognition.
He has an intense concert activity as a solo pianist, accompanist, and in various chamber formations in Italy and abroad.
Among the many prestigious venues where he has performed are the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid, where he held a solo recital—the first of a series of concerts in the Spanish capital—on distinguished stages such as the Museo Nacional del Romanticismo and the Auditorium "Carmen Laforet," the Gaspard Academy in London, the Diocesan Museum of Catania, the Auditorium of the Conservatorio "G. Verdi" in Turin, the Chapel of the Bankers and Merchants, Palazzo Cisterna for the Expo 2015 exhibition, and the Royal Palace of Venaria.
He also participated in the "Festival Mozart" for the Unione Musicale at the Teatro Vittoria in Turin.
Recently, he performed Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue as a soloist with a wind orchestra conducted by Maestro Marco Grasso.
He has taken part in numerous concerts with the Camerata Musicale Salentina, with the duo Synaistisìa alongside violist Cristian Musio, in a duo with violinist Domenico Zezza, and as a soloist, performing Rachmaninov’s celebrated Piano Concerto No. 3 with the Orchestra Filarmonica Pugliese conducted by Maestro Giovanni Pellegrini.
He is a piano performance and interpretation teacher at the “G. Palmieri” Music High School in Lecce.
